Paint Out is an art event aiming to refresh and redefine 21st century en plein air art practice

Paint Out 2021 is taking place this year in Norwich and Norfolk. Artists from the UK and overseas will paint many historic and beautiful parts of the east of England this year. I am delighted to be talking part this year alongside the other very talented participating artists.
Founded in 2014, Paint Out™ is the only fully juried en plein air art competition. It celebrates the talents of national and international artists before a wide and growing audience. It takes place this year in the heart of medieval and iconic Norwich and beautiful Norfolk‘s towns. Painting locations include countryside, broads and coast.
This event has previously taken place in Suffolk and in 2019 branched out to Cambridge. These events are about extreme painting challenges in the open air, in any weather. Those taking part are up against the clock and they are there for the art-loving public to see. Paintings are available to view online at the end of each day with a full exhibition on the 24th July 2021.
Norfolk is a place familiar to me as I have travelled up here most years with family. It is a friendly and peaceful place so to have the opportunity to take part in Paint Out 2021 is wonderful. Click here to read more about me as an artist.
2020 saw the event raise £1000 for the MIND mental health charity. This year’s selected charity is Young Norfolk Arts. Its aim is to provide the opportunity for children and young people to create and engage with creativity and culture across Norfolk.
If you see an artist during the event and are interested in purchasing a painting you can find the work on the event gallery. Alternatively, contact info@paintout.org or call 07432 608 015 to make a purchase.
Visit the exhibition space to view the work from myself and other artists.
